INTUITION ON A ‘NEED TO KNOW BASIS’
I love the way Darren Eden says that following our intuition is like being a CIA Agent as it reveals information on a ‘need to know’ basis only. I found out first hand what that meant over the last few weeks and it has been a fascinating unfolding.
Some of you may know that I found a new flat to rent in the centre of Twickenham by following the guidance of my intuition step by step and ended up renting a place I wouldn’t have been immediately drawn to. Since moving in I have found the ‘rightness’ of this choice. I am going through a major transition in my life where I’ve dismantled many of the old structures which supported me and I’m building new ones – which to be honest feel as slender and delicate as filigree at the moment, and yet far more compelling and magical than the old ‘survival’ structures which were based heavily on the fear factor.
What surprised me a few weeks ago was when the cottage I really, really wanted, which is right next door to my sisters place, came back on the market and I decided to check in with my intuition before taking a next step. I had already put a holding deposit down on this place and was a few days away from moving in. Much to my astonishment my intuition revealed to me that this ‘idyllic cottage’ may offer me an initial sense of celebration but very rapidly would give me a sense of enormous depletion. But the weirdest bit was the sense of the place being fire ravaged. Anyway, needless to say I listened to this intuitive guidance and moved in to this cosy, light filled flat.
Last Saturday I got a call in the middle of the night from my sister to say that there was a major fire razing a beautiful building to the ground which was maybe one hundred yards from the cottage I had aspired to living in. Not only that, it threatened the cottage next door which is owned by the same people who own the place I wanted to live in. I heard two days later that this cottage has had some fire damage and I’m wondering if they can now move in. They had already delayed moving out of the place next door to my sister by six weeks and now potentially they’ll have to delay again – and all because of a fire just a short spitting distance away.
Whatever happens, had I been there I know it would have been a difficult time and I would not have felt comfortable. And you know how they say that a butterfly flapping its wings in one part of the world affects another…? Perhaps if I’d been living there maybe that very butterfly effect could have changed the outcome. It was so lucky for all but those two house owners that Saturday night was an extraordinarily calm night when the rest of the week had been blowing a gale. Any breath of wind where they live, where most of the cottages are wooden, would have spelled disaster for many more homes including my sisters.
This intuitive ‘hit’ has been a real eye opener for me as it was not a random moment of insight, it was a structured connection to tune in to my inner wisdom and ask for the answer I needed at the time. I’ll never know what would have happened had I ignored it, but I’m really happy I didn’t take the chance. The message, in hindsight, was accurate enough.
If you’d love less randomness to your intuitive guidance, and would jump at the chance to learn how to access it under any circumstances then please come and join us for a toe in the intuitive water - a phenomenal three day event mid March for only £50.00 at a beautiful venue not too far from central London.
