What is a Greatness Reading?

It’s an intuitive reading, based on the Heros Journey and the premise that we are all actually divine magnificent beings who have access to innate intuitive wisdom and have hearts which long to shine. However, most of our attention is focused on one small part of ourselves which developed from the ‘wound’ we experienced when we were born and is based on assumptions we believe are real. This small part we can call our identity, or ego, and it tends to be the part of us we listen to mostly. It loves to make sure we’re safe and can survive in this world.

One way I describe this duality is this:

Think of Manhatten Island as your ‘wound’ and all the buildings upon the island is the identity you’ve developed. The foundational bit of land is the island. The city on top is your identity. And you think this is who you are. It’s what you think people see of you and how you think they judge and experience you. The way you build, shapes your identity and how you display yourself to the world.

Now think of the planet and imagine this is your ‘greatness’. It’s vast. It has all the resources you need. Manhatten is a part of it. Manhatten is always going to be there. But if you now put your attention on the whole planet as your greatness, then Manhatten island fades in to the background.

Both your greatness and identity are present at the same time. Your greatness is not something you need to aspire to, or something you may become one day if you stay very positive! Your greatness is who you really are right now, this minute. The trick is to recognize this part of yourself and then learn to hear it more and more so you can follow its guidance.

What happens in the Greatness Reading?

I tune in to you intuitively from a space of choosing to serve your heart. This three step reading starts with me tuning in to your ‘greatness’. I’ll share with you all the aspects of this part of you I can get a sense of. Much of what I say should ‘ring true’ although you may well think I’m going over the top! It’s quite an eye opener to get an idea of who you truly are when you are fully in your power and without your energy being diverted to keep the identity intact. You will be far more than you anticipate and what your heart would love to do during your lifetime will be revealed.

The next step is to tune in to where you are right now and how much of your attention is in your identity and how much of your greatness gets to be expressed. Your identity has created beliefs and strategies from the ‘wound’ which create the way you deal with the world around you. Once again these feel real to you – but they’re not. They can be identified so you can recognize them as and when they pop up. It’s often a great relief to know that your identity is just trying to keep you safe. When you step in to your greatness you live much more intuitively, which means spending far more time not knowing ‘how’ things will happen. This unknown space is terrifying for the identity – it loves to know and keep control. Understanding your identity through a reading is the first step to shifting the power out of your identity and back to your greatness.

The final step of the reading is to tune in to the obvious next step you can take which will bring you more in line with your greatness. Sometimes this will sound completely obvious and sometimes it may sound like you’ll be going off on a tangent, but the intuition doesn’t live by the same rules as the identity. It will be a baby step in the right direction but it can’t be the whole story as it takes a lot of commitment and will to fully shift the power. How long has your identity ruled?

What is the expected result?

A greater understanding of who you really are from the perspective of your greatness and your identity. You’ll also have a potential course of action to help you reclaim more of your greatness. I hope that you will feel inspired to learn more about your greatness and how to access it through this intuitive practice. I don’t teach this yet however I know a man who does!

What not to expect…

This is not fortune telling. It does not tell you what will happen or what might happen. Your greatness is a creator and when you live more in that space you start to create your life rather than have one thrust upon you.

Why have a reading with me?

I’ve been reading Tarot cards since 1994 and found that I particularly loved accessing people’s greatness. I have now trained with Darren Eden in his particular intuitive modality for almost a year which has given me a superior structure to tune in to the identity as well as the greatness and access a ‘next step’. I have taken to this type of intuitive reading like a duck to water and I love it.
